License Keys Overview
License Keys are no longer needed to connect to your account on the latest version of the NinjaTrader Desktop app (version 8.1 or later).

Instead, all entitlements granted by License Keys, including your Account Plan, the ability to connect to 3rd-party brokerage accounts, and access to the Order Flow+ set of tools are tied directly to your NinjaTrader Account Dashboard Username.
If you have upgraded from NinjaTrader 8.0 to NinjaTrader 8.1, your License Key will be imported to your NinjaTrader Account username automatically. If you need to import a License Key manually to your username, please see this section below – Importing A License Key
Note: NinjaTrader Accounts created after March 3rd, 2023 will not receive a License Key. Instead, all account plan and add-on entitlements are managed from the Settings > Plans page of your NinjaTrader Account Dashboard.
Important Note for Evaluation Service Users
If you are a customer of an Evaluation Service that uses the Rithmic connection, you no longer a need to import a License Key to your NinjaTrader username.
All entitlements granted by a License Key you may have received from an Evaluation Service Provider will automatically be included with the NinjaTrader Account username you use to download and sign into the NinjaTrader Desktop app on your computer.

Importing A License Key
If you have a License Key that has not been imported to your NinjaTrader Account automatically, you may import it manually from the Settings > Plans page of your NinjaTrader Account Dashboard.
After selecting “Import a license key“, copy and paste the full License Key into the text box and click Submit. This will unlock access to the Account Plan and any Account Add-ons associated with the License Key on the NinjaTrader Username used to log into any NinjaTrader platform (Desktop, Web, and Mobile).
Note: The Help > License Key window is no longer present on NinjaTrader Desktop 8.1. You no longer need to input your License Key on the Desktop app after upgrading to NinjaTrader 8.1.
